Given In

Okay, I have finally given in and decided that summer would be a perfect time to start a family blog page, after all I don't slow down to often. Isn't summer when you are to sleep in till noon, each chocolate, watch TV, be lazy and recover from the last school year?

As normal that is not what goes on here. Right now it is quiet. Drew and Mark have not emerged yet from their respective rooms, Luke is watching cartoons telling me to SHHHH if I step to loud (Mark has Luke well trained to keep the house quiet till he gets up....of course Luke does slam the bedroom door closed when he gets up!). Katy is away at Black Rock Retreat which is a week long sleep away camp she goes to. Steven is at a friends house for the night, and Becca is passed out in my bed after standing next to the bed for a good hour crying that there were bugs on the floor so she wanted to sleep in our bed. (I fell asleep after about twenty minutes, Karl got to here the last forty minutes).

Karl the good man that he is, is at work away from all the "craziness" for the day, boy he looked so "sad" to be heading off into "adult land".

So this is my quiet time before the boys get up and I take them to work. They are working for their grandfather and uncle again this summer so that will keep them busy. The funnest thing for the week was getting Mark's hair done, and then doing Locks of Love with Becca. They both are thrilled to have new styles:

Mark's New Style, it is a brownish black, which we both like. Boy you can tell he is a teenager!!! The first color he tried was a temporary dye that turned his hair green/gray, so we all like this one lots more.

Katy is away at Black Rock Retreat this week which is a sleep away camp with her friend Lexie. This is their second year and they are really enjoying it. I wish I was there with them. This is the same camp that I went to when I was there age. I would be more then happy to pull up a bunk next to them.

The noise around the house is picking up, gotta run.
